I agree. From the content in the post, it doesn’t state that we talked about the extent of her involvement. I’ll try to clarify a bit.

We talked about what she was doing. It definitely extended beyond sharing a few photos. However, even without that conversation and knowledge, I think the unwillingness to tell me and then finding out from someone other than her was too much for me to grasp. At that point, there was already a breach of trust so I would always be skeptical even if she were telling the truth. Still, I wonder if I ever actually got the full truth from her.

My error was not exploring it further, I agree with you. Maybe I would have gained a deeper understanding, or the trust would have built back up. But I think by that point, I was done with the relationship. Knowingly or unknowingly, I had checked out and was cutting my losses.
